Sonar Bookends QkLink allows you to define PDF bookmarks and hyperlinks in QuarkXPress. When a PDF is made from the QuarkXPress document, it will automatically contain the bookmarks and hyperlinks that you defined.

Bookmarks can be defined manually or can be detected automatically using various attributes that you specify. Hyperlinks can be defined manually only.

Sonar Bookends Activate for Adobe's Acrobat is a plug-in that automatically generates hyperlinks for each page number in the index and table of contents of a PDF document. It also creates hypertext links for URLs, E-mail addresses, and page and table references (like, "refer to figure 6"). It is a tremendous time saver for people making electronic books and manuals.

A "labeling" system is used to mark where note numbers are to be inserted - both for references to the notes and in front of each note itself. The note numbers can be resolved anytime, in seconds, with a single command. The notes are numbered dynamically with a user defined numbering scheme. The notes are also sorted to ensure that the notes are in the same order as their references. Documents that consist of multiple files are supported.
