for Adobe InDesign CS3May 4, 2007 Midlothian, Virginia. Virginia Systems announced today that it is shipping updated versions of its family of plug-ins for InDesign CS3. The plug-ins include automatic index and table of contents generators (Sonar Bookends InDex and InDex Pro), figure/table/paragraph numbering with running headers and footers (Sonar Bookends InSeq), footnote/endnote management (Sonar Bookends InFnote), and cross-referencing (Sonar Bookends InXref).
Sonar Bookends InDex Pro, Virginia Systems' top end automatic indexing system also has some new features:
* Hidden keywords can now be attached to text on a page. The hidden keywords can be extracted and indexed, allowing terms discussed, but not actually appearing on a given page, to be indexed easily.
* The Terms May Span Pages... feature has been improved to better handle indexing items that span a page break.
Pricing is $395 for Sonar Bookends InDex Pro and $195 for Sonar Bookends InDex, Sonar Bookends InSeq, Sonar Bookends InFnote, and Sonar Bookends InXref. Updates are $150 for Sonar Bookends InDex Pro and $100 for Sonar Bookends InDex, Sonar Bookends InFnote, Sonar Bookends InSeq, and Sonar Bookends InXref. Updates are free for purchases made after March 1, 2007. Updates are also free for customers who have Technical Support and Software Update agreements (TSSUA).
