September 3, 2004 Midlothian, Virginia. Virginia Systems announced today that it is shipping an updated version of its Sonar Bookends InDex Pro plug-in for Macintosh and Windows.
Sonar Bookends InDex Pro is an automatic indexing system for Adobe's InDesign desktop publishing system. The new features include:
* Character and paragraph style sheets can now be used to mark text for indexing. The marked items are extracted automatically and compiled into a list. The index created using the list can consist of either all pages where the items in the list appear, or only the pages where the items are marked with a particular style sheet. The first four characters of the style sheet name indicates if that style sheet is being used to mark entries to index.
* Items in InDesign tables can now be indexed.
A free demo of the Sonar Bookends InDex Pro is available on Virginia Systems' web site at: www.virginiasystems.com
Sonar Bookends InDex Pro costs $395 for a single user license. Volume discounts are available. Existing Sonar Bookends InDex Pro 3.x owners can update for free. Owners of versions 1.x and 2.x can update for $150.
