The new versions have an improved PDF filter for searching and displaying Adobe Acrobat files, including those created with Acrobat 6. The retrieval systems maintain compatibility with their Macintosh counter parts, providing a powerful cross-platform search and retrieval solution.

Searches can be performed using Boolean, proximity, and wild cards for both Sonar and Sonar Professional. The Professional version can also do synonym, concept, phonetic and quorum searches, generate reports, create hypertext links, find word associations, allow for annotations, and much, much more.

Sonar costs $295, Sonar Professional costs $795, and Sonar Image costs $1,295 for a single user license. Volume discounts are available. Sonar can be updated for $150, Sonar Professional can be upated for $300, and Sonar Image for $350.
